McDonald’s is selling candles that smell like its Quarter Pounder burger - MLive.com

Freshly cooked beef, slivered onions, tangy pickles, two slices of melty cheese on a sesame seed bun.

The makeup, and smell, of McDonald’s classic Quarter Pounder with cheese is unmistakable for those who enjoy eating it. But now burger lovers can take their obsession to a new level by enjoying the scent of their favorite burger without buying it.

GoldenArchesUnlimited.com, McDonald’s online brand marketplace, announced last week that it is releasing a limited-time line of fan club swag exclusively for Quarter Pounder enthusiasts.

The line includes traditional merchandise like mittens, calendars, t-shirts, stickers and pins, but the real treasure of the release is a Quarter Pounder scented candle pack “because there’s no better smell than 100% fresh beef and a perfect combination of toppings.”

Here’s why Burger King is proudly advertising a moldy Whopper

The candle pack includes six different candles, each with the scent of a Quarter Pounder ingredient: Bun, ketchup, pickle, cheese, onion, beef

“Valentine’s Day may have come and gone, but those that love the Quarter Pounder can still rejoice,” a news release reads. “For nearly 50 years the Quarter Pounder burger has been a craveable and delicious fan favorite. We know love is always in the air for our die-hard burger enthusiasts, so we launched the Quarter Pounder Fan Club to give everyone a tangible way to publicly display their affection.”

The candle set is currently sold out, according to the website. But fans will want to keep checking McDonald’s Instagram for availability.
