A couple from West Yorkshire have been fined for driving to Whitby to "smell the sea".
North Yorkshire Police's Whitby Neighbourhood Policing Team posted on Facebook that the couple had travelled from Boston Spa in defiance of the coronavirus lockdown.
"This is not a reasonable excuse to travel into our area and they were told to return home immediately.
"We will continue to work hard to protect Whitby and the residents who are working just as hard to keep the town and rural areas safe."
